Big Buck's is on a 10-race winning streak and was available at a best-price of just 4/7 for the stayers' hurdling championship a few weeks ago. Still viewed by many as the banker of the Festival, Stan James are today offering odds of 11/10...until midnight.
The recent perfomances of Mourad and most notably Grands Crus led to Big Buck's price drifting slightly. However, as reported here earlier this week, champion trainer Paul Nicholls is unconcerned about the emergence of Grands Crus as a legitimate threat to his charge in the World Hurdle, saying: “With the way he runs, it will be nice to have something to aim at.”
Victor Chandler currently have the eight-year-old Big Buck's at evens. Thus, by promising to be best-industry price today, Stan James have to offer a very tempting 11/10 - a price which is likely to be hammered by punters all day.
